Rumour of a new EP…

There has been a rumour floating around the internet for a couple of weeks now, of a new EP release from Alizée. I hadn’t posted about this before because the information has been very sparse, but I didn’t want to be totally out in the cold if and when something pops up… So I’m here with a heads up.

What I’m hearing is that there should be an EP release in the next few weeks. There is no info on whether or not these are unreleased tracks from Une enfant du siècle, unreleased songs from the Psych era, or if they are totally new songs she has written and recorded in the last year. One would assume though, the EP is being released to create new buzz, and I would guess, to attempt to make a more mainstream impact after the lack-lustre sales of Une enfant du siècle.

The word is that it will be released at http://alizeestore.com , and could possibly be an independent release under the banner of Wisteria Song, without any help from Jive.

That’s all I have for now, but I will post any updates as soon as I get them.

Today is the day! March 29 has arrived. “Une enfant du siècle” available everywhere!

           

It’s zero hour! As of this writing the long awaited album from Alizée, and her cohorts (Rob, Tacteel, Chateau Marmont) is available for general sale everywhere in France. Also, anyon who pre-ordered should receive their copies in 3-7 days depending on your location.

I, personally have avoided listening to the whole album until now… I did not partake in any of the illegal leaks that were out there. (It was difficult!) Tomorrow I will come back and give an official review of the album on my blog, and give you my honest opinion of all 10 songs on UEdC.

Check back tomorrow… and go out and buy your copy of Une enfant du siècle! Let’s all work together to make it a great first week for the album, and try and see if we can get a good entry on the charts.

To all the fans in Germany, Mexico, and U.S.A. … one more week. (Although I know most of you have your legal downloads of the album that were allowed to you for buying the boxed set.)

J’ai personnellement pu éviter l’écoute de l’album en entier, jusqu’à maintenant … Je ne participe pas dans l’un des fuites illégales qui ont été là-bas. (Il a été difficile!) Demain, je vais revenir et procurer à l’examen officiel de l’album sur mon blog, et vous donner mon opinion honnête de tous les 10 chansons sur UEDC.

Revenez demain … de sortir et d’acheter votre exemplaire de Une enfant du siecle! Travaillons tous ensemble pour faire une bonne première semaine pour l’album, et essayer de voir si nous pouvons obtenir une bonne entrée dans les charts.

Track List…

In the final news item for the day, and there have been many… A track list has also been released for the album Une enfant du siècle. There appears to be the Spanish song every one was expecting, and also as a bonus a couple of English songs. This will be a nice departure from past efforts, and probably done well unlike the mess they made of I’m not twenty and I’m Fed Up.

Anyhow, here is the expected track list…

And rumour has it that the first official release off of the album will be Track #5 
“Les collines (Never Leave You). We can assume that that song will be released within the next 2-4 weeks.

UPDATE!!! C’est officiel! C’est de la coverture de l’album pour « Une Enfant du siècle » Ok, so I really need to investigate things more before I post… I said in my last post this would probably be the cover for “Une enfant du siècle”… well it has been confirmed by Melle Alizée herself on her Twitter account! The picture you see in the previous post will indeed be the cover for the album. So, we have the cover… the word of a pre-release bundle… It’s almost that time folks!
